GURPREET CHANDHOKE

Mr. Chandhoke is a successful entrepreneur, hedge fund manager, VC and PE
investor and investment banker. He has invested in over 100 companies across diverse sectors such as technology, healthcare, energy, retail, gaming, real estate, consumer and media and entertainment. He has advised on more than $40 billion of corporate finance and M&A transactions and issued more than $20 billion of debt in various leveraged and corporate buyout transactions. He currently focuses on investing in technology, healthcare, renewable energy, media and entertainment and real-estate on behalf of his family office MKC Holdings LLC. Mr. Chandhoke focuses on investments between the US, India, and Middle East, especially Dubai, UAE.


Mr. Chandhoke is the Founder and Managing Partner of MKC Media LLC, a media
and entertainment finance and production company. Since April 2021, he has been the Co-Founder, President and COO of Beacon Media, a next generation global Media Company that he Co-Founded with Dr Deepak Chopra with offices in UAE, US, and India.


Mr. Chandhoke currently serves as an Advisor to the CEO of Kure Management
LLC, a Los Angeles based healthcare Company focused on curing mental depression
through clinical ketamine therapies. Previously, he was an Advisor to the CEO of Learning Squared Inc., a global Silicon Valley education software company with Andre Agassi as its Chairman and business across US and India. He was also an advisor to the CEO of Curio Inc., a New Jersey based digital software healthcare company focused on women’s mental health issues.


As part of his family office, Mr. Chandhoke focuses on investing in multi-family
real estate in Southern California. He is currently targeting constructing and acquiring
1,200 new rental apartment units between Northern and Southern California for 2024. Mr. Chandhoke is an early investor in several cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. He’s also an investor and advisor to the management team launching the renewable energy carbon credit capture cryptocurrency coin SICA out of Dubai, UAE.


Mr. Chandhoke has invested in media companies including Ansgar Media, which
was an independent film studio based out of Louisiana. Since 2015, he has produced seven films including four Hollywood films in the last two years. Mr. Chandhoke was the Executive Producer of Born to Be Blue starring Ethan Hawke that was released in 2015, Co-Producer of Jeepers Creepers 3 released in 2016, Executive Producer of Blaze, directed by Ethan Hawke and released in 2017, Executive Producer of 6.45 released in 2021. He’s also the Executive Producer of Out of Hand, Deadly Games and 72 Hours, which is currently in post-production. Mr. Chandhoke currently has several films and tv series in production and development.


Mr. Chandhoke was the Founder, Managing Partner, and Chief Investment Officer of
VII Peaks Capital, LLC from its inception in April 2009 to June 2021. At VII Peaks, Mr.
Chandhoke gained more than 12 years of professional investment management experience. Between late 2015 and early 2016, Mr. Chandhoke served on the Board of Directors and Special Committee to restructure and bring Relativity Media LLC, with approximately $1 billion of debt, out of bankruptcy. In late 2016, Mr. Chandhoke also served on the unsecured creditors committee of UCI International, Inc. to successfully bring UCI, with approximately $600 million of debt, out of bankruptcy.


From 2014 to 2018, Mr. Chandhoke also served as Chairman and CEO of Alesiatec
Inc., which was a big data analytics software company. Mr. Chandhoke has invested in several technology companies such as Violin Memory, where VII Peaks invested from
pre-Series A to pre-IPO rounds of financings leading to Violin Memory becoming a unicorn in 2013 and going public in an IPO. VII Peaks also invested in Bitzer Mobile, which was later sold to Oracle.


Before founding VII Peaks Capital, LLC in 2009, Mr. Chandhoke had more than six
years investment banking experience. From August 2006 to February 2009, Mr. Chandhoke was Senior Vice President of Deutsche Bank Technology Investment Banking Group in San Francisco. From August 2005 to August 2006, Mr. Chandhoke worked for UBS Investment Bank as an Associate Director.


During his tenure at both institutions, he also participated in diverse corporate finance
and M&A transactions in the internet, enterprise software and infrastructure and
communications technology sectors. Mr. Chandhoke’s responsibilities at Deutsche Bank and UBS Investment Bank also involved the issuance of debt securities ranging from bank debt, corporate debt, high yield, and convertible debt securities. Mr. Chandhoke also worked on corporate finance transactions ranging from mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, debt issuances and recapitalizations at both Deutsche Bank and UBS Investment Bank. Mr. Chandhoke led several different types of debt issuances and restructuring discussions and transactions with technology companies and financial sponsors while at Deutsche Bank and UBS Investment Bank.


Sample transactions for Mr. Chandhoke as an Advisor include the $1.4 billion sale of
Tandberg TV to Ericsson, the $700 million merger of Inter-Tel with Mitel, the $2.1 billion
sale of Redback Networks to Ericsson, the $1 billion merger and leveraged buyout of
Attachmate WRQ and NetIQ by Golden Gate Capital, Francisco Partners and Thoma Cressey Partners, the $386 million acquisition and leveraged buyout of Enterasys Networks by The Gores Group and Tennenbaum Capital Partners, the $600 million sale of IGN Networks to Fox Interactive, the $337 million acquisition of Peribit Networks by Juniper Networks and the $1.2 billion leveraged buyout of Serena Software by Silver Lake Partners.


Mr. Chandhoke has an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania,
M.S.E.E and M.S.M.E from the University of Minnesota and Bachelors in Electrical
Engineering from the Government College of Engineering, University of Pune. Mr.
Chandhoke was one of three students chosen as a J.N. Tata Scholar from all across India to pursue his graduate studies in the United States.
